On the 2nd October, nine intrepid Forensic Science BND students completed this task in a rustic portakabin beyond the car park.
In no particular order....
Note: I had to alter the colour balance on the last photo as Laura's hair came out light green. The simple digital camera I was using had been fooled by the light from the window so anything under the fluorescent lights looked yellowy green in comparison. Ask about 'colour temperature' of lighting if you are interested.
And sketch plans as work in progress...
And finally, I put a prepared slide in my beat up old school microscope and tried my little digital camera down the eyepiece, just hand held. After three goes I got a reasonable image... It's 'Phycomycetae Clubroot in Cabbage Root section' with a stain to bring out the cell walls.
Paul S is looking into this for microscope work.
